Ghana Has More Food, Courtesy Planting For Food And Jobs- Concerned Farmers Association

In the quest to beef up the Government’s flagship agric program, Planting For Food And Jobs, the Concerned Farmers’ Association has embarked on a nationwide tour dubbed, “Identification Of Community Agric Challenge Tour.”

The Concerned Farmers Association is aimed at bringing to bear the plight of people engaged in all farming activities in the country and all other challenges that come with agriculture.

Convenor and President of the Association, Nana Oboadie Boateng Bonsu told News Afrika in an exclusive interview, that Planting for Food And Jobs was not just a social intervention but a very lucrative project for all Ghanaians must applaud and participate in.

He said the Identification of Community Agric Challenge Tour will enlighten Ghanaians on how Planting for food and jobs has solved if not all, most of Ghana’s unemployment situation in the agric sector of the economy.

“We shall tour the length and breadth of Ghana and engage Farmers on the prices of food and other agricultural produce.

“We observed during our tour there were bumper harvest and can serve the whole country. Ghana can even export food to neighbouring countries; courtesy government’s flagship program Planting for Food And Jobs,” he told Ernest Nana Adu.

Nana Oboadie Bonsu lauded the government and the agric Minister, Hon. Dr Afriyie Akoto for bold steps taken to ban the importation of grains into the country.

That move by the government, according to him shall bring more money to farmers and make agriculture more attractive and lucrative to the youth.

“We are assuring all schools in Ghana not to panic about the shortage of food,” he elated.
we are also happy about the Bold decision our Minister took for banning the importation of grains, this will help boost the farming industry. and also make farmers get money.

Nana Oboadie urged Ghanaians, particularly the youth to take seriously Planting For Food And Jobs, and stop depending on the government for white colour jobs after school.
